Harry Potter 7 Premiere in Leicester Square, London

Today, Kevin and I went into London for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Premiere. Just to set things straight, we didn't actually see the movie, we just saw the actors on the red carpet. Ok, story time.
After class at 10, we ran straight to the coach station in downtown Canterbury. The wind and rain blew us all over the place but we managed to get there in time by 10:50. We arrived into London at around 1ish. We took the tube to Trafalgar square and it was raining so hard I couldn't see the across the square, sheets of water were pouring down, and the streets turned to rivers. So instead of walking, we took the tube again to Leicester Square. It was about 2 by now. The rain had stopped and we found the Leicester square and all the preparations for the premiere. PTL.
They were premiering the movie in the two Odeon Theatres, we were standing outside the larger of the two. Then we were told to move and so like a mad herd of cattle we rushed to the next place.

They moved barriers left and right and hundreds of people moved with them. In the end, we were able to squeeze near the front and then a barrier opened up so we rushed in.

We were right by the red carpet entrance to the main theatre. Not only that but we were about 5 feet of so from the very front and I was on the side fence. Prime place for pictures.

Then we waited...and waited...and waited some more. We were standing for about 4 hours until we heard cheering, and screaming of "Ron, Ron, Ron!" The cast members made their way around the garden in the middle where they had their interviews and more swarms of fans.
There were over 50 cast members and over 3000 people viewing the premiere tonight. There were two theatres, the cast was split into two so we didn't see everyone that was there. Luckily for us, we were at the main theatre, meaning the main stars would come our way. So who did we see?
Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley)
Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan)
Clémence Poésy (Fleur Delacour)
George Harris (Kingsley Shacklebolt)
J. K. Rowling in the black dress
Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge)
Warwick Davis (Griphook)
Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange)
Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)
Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort)
James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley)
James Phelps (Fred)
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)
Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley)
Taking pictures was the main priority but we were able to have James Phelps (Fred Weasley) sign our books.
Seriously, tonight was one of the best nights I've had here. It was such a fun day trip.
Tomorrow we are making American pancakes with our English friends and exploring southern England. Cheers!
